Why is it years after you say goodbye to some people they pop back into your life most unexpectedly? Are these people that recur (and trust me lots of them do) the people that are meant to be instrumental in the way your life runs? In the decisions you make?

Or do we all hit an age when we have all been through loss or upheaval and realize that we had exceptional friends who we'd hate not to see again? Is it just an age thing? I'm at the age of the school reunion mind, is it we just get to points in our lives and have to look around and take stock of where we came from and where we've been. Maybe reevaluate who and what influenced us and made us the people we've turned into today.
